S.C.C. Chagim 2020/5781 Special Announcement

Lechvod Hakehila Hakedosha,

We would like you to know that B”H, we will be hosting the Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur tefillot this year as in the past, but with special accommodations due to health concerns.

In order to ease everyone’s mind and make our members as comfortable as possible, we have decided to rent a tent and move the minyan outdoors.

As the tent is a big expenditure, we are asking everyone to donate $50 per seat to help cover the expense. If anyone is able to offer more, it will be a great zechut for you and your family to enable others to participate in the holy tefillot of Rosh Hashana. Please do not be deterred from joining us if, for any reason, you cannot cover the fee.

In line with government guidelines, we are asking everyone to wear a mask even though we will be outdoors. We do request, however, that there not be any “policing” of fellow minyan members regarding how the mask is worn. Mr. Donny Zigdon has been appointed to oversee this matter and any concerns should be brought only to him.

As far as the seating format, we have tables in different sizes: 8 feet, 6 feet and 4 feet. The 8-foot tables can accommodate two people on each end and the 4-foot can accommodate one person. The 6 foot tables should be used if you are sitting with family members.

In trying to make the best of a situation that is less than ideal, we ask that you take your friends’ needs into consideration. This will go a long way toward making a harmonious tefilla.

These have been difficult times for everyone, and if you need assistance or know of anyone who does, please contact the Rav. There are limited funds available. Anyone who would like to donate to this fund will certainly be gaining an extra zechut.

In the merit of our working together to enable our shul to host the tefillot in the most dignified and meaningful way possible, may we be zocheh that our prayers reach the Kisei haKavod and elicit rachamei Shomayim for ourselves and all of Am Yisroel.

Wishing you a G’mar Chatima Tovah.

Registration Required: Chagim 5781/2020

In order to prepare for the upcoming chagim, we need to have a clear idea of how many people are planning to join us.

While it pains us to say this, the current situation means that if you do not respond using the form below, you and your family will not be permitted to attend services this year.

Please complete this form so we know the tefillot you plan to attend, along with a count of the # of men and women (of any age).

Tefillot Policies:

  • Masks and social distancing are required during the entire tefillot.
  • If you do not feel well; or you were exposed to someone that doesn’t feel well (or, God forbid, was exposed to COVID) be responsible and think of others.
  • It is unclear at the moment whether we will have sufficient space for women to join us. We will announce this closer to the Chagim.
  • Children who can sit next ot their father for the entire tefillot are welcome to attend.

Thank you for taking the time to fill this out.
